The Future of E-commerce is Social

Since I published some data about "The State of E-commerce in Greece", I have been thinking about it, and it seems to me that the future of e-commerce is very bright and very "social".

Social media and e-commerce are a natural fit .

Shopping is often a social activity because we care about what other people think of a certain product. Their thoughts and opinions are one of the strongest influencers on our purchasing decisions.

In this "me economy", I think social communities should give every member the capability of creating their own e-shop. Allow users to pick the products they want to sell and handle customer care, shipping etc for a percentage of the revenue. (Amazon is doing this www.amazonservices.com).
