Life is a Negotiation

Our lives are a constant negotiation, especially the lives of entrepreneurs.
Make sure to read Mark Suster's advice about "Never Negotiate Piecemeal".

In any type of negotiation, instead of negotiating terms on a point by point basis and making compromises on everything, you want to make sure you know all their issues,  prioritize what's important to you and what you don't want to give in to, and negotiate as a whole:

[...] If you don’t want to give a millimeter on one item you have a hard time doing that point-by-point. Done as a “package deal” you can say, “I gave in on these 5 issues that you asked for. On this issue I can’t give.” That’s much harder to pull off piecemeal.
