Which is more famous on the web the person or the company?

Corporate branding can certainly help boost a personal brand. But corporate branding can only go so far, and does not guarantee success. Today everyone blogs, tweets etc. but only a handful manage to breakthrough the clutter and capture enough interest to build their personal brand.

At the end of the day, the individual must bring something unique to the table.
