Wow!!! 3.6 zettabytes consumed in 2008.

Thats alot of information! One zettabyte is 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 bytes.

The University of California, San Diego, estimates that American households collectively consumed 3.6 zettabytes of information in 2008. Imagine the equivalent of the information in thick paperback novels stacked seven feet high over the entire United States. [nytimes.com]
